3 Ways To Make Your Life Simple And Successful Again

We all have days, weeks, months, and some even years when we feel anxious and overwhelmed with things we have to do. It's an indescribable feeling inside. Stress fills your thoughts and emotions, all too often, bothering you throughout the day. You have so many things to do that you never seem to be able to complete them. The pressure is intense and overwhelming.

1. Decide what you would put back on your plate if you could clean it.

Our lives get incredibly complicated, not overnight, but gradually. Complications approach us, one small step at a time.

Today I accepted an invite to a Facebook party, tomorrow I say yes when a neighbor asks me to help him dismantle his sofa, then I get invited for a snack, I decide to volunteer in my son's youth group. One yes at a time, and soon my life will be very busy and complicated and I won't know where I went wrong.

And the cycle continues in all spheres of life as well…

2. Learn to say “NO” when you don't want something new on your plate.

Saying yes to everything puts you on the path to being miserable. We all have obligations, but a comfortable pace can only be achieved if you correctly manage your “YES”. So, stop saying “yes” when you mean “no”. You can't be nice all the time. That way, people will take advantage of you. You have to set clear boundaries.

3. Focus on no more than two things every day.

You can have more than two things on your plate, but that doesn't mean you should try to chew them all at once. In fact, in a perfect world you would want to find full focus and do just one thing well, for an extended period of time. You would take one very important item off your plate, say no to everything else, and focus on just one thing. This thing could be a project at work, a family obligation, or a charitable cause, but just one thing. You would like to learn how to do it well. He would get better and better each day, he would serve people exceptionally with his masterful skill, and he would not be stressed out by juggling obligations.


So start by choosing two or three things: Wake up every morning, find out what the two or three most important things of the day are, and forget about the rest. Be relentless. tell people around you that you really want to help, but today your plate is full. You can't handle them well today, so unfortunately you must say “no”.

Life is not complicated. We are complicated. When we stop trying to do it all at once, life becomes simple and successful again, one moment at a time.
