7 WAYS TO STAY MOTIVATED FOR EXERCISE AT HOME
You may not feel motivated to exercise at home. But we are here to help you!
The whole world is living a new reality. The need for social isolation, which seeks to reduce the impacts of an unprecedented pandemic, makes us need to stay at home, only going out in situations of extreme need.
But of course it's not always easy to be able to train at home. Some difficulties can arise along the way, and to overcome them you need that extra dose of motivation. So we decided to list some ways to achieve this.
Find out how to stay motivated to exercise at home:
1- Keep a routine
One of the things that keeps us focused on our tasks is keeping to the routine. Waking up each day at a time, not planning housework, and eating at alternate times does nothing to keep you physically active. If before you always trained in the morning, try to keep this habit. If it was always in the afternoon, keep doing it. This way you show your body that it should be ready for training at the usual time.
2- Get ready!
Being in quarantine shouldn't be like being on vacation. Therefore, spending too much time in comfortable clothes or pajamas may not be a good idea. The ideal is to dress normally, as if you were going to work. By doing this, you will have more awareness of your body: you will know if you are losing or gaining measures or if there is any change that you would not want to happen. With this, it is common to give more value to training!
3- Get inspired by people (in moderation)
If you follow that digital influencer or have friends on social media who are training at home and posting on social media, it might be interesting to get inspired! After all, if they're doing it, so can you. It's not very healthy to stick to very specific standards of beauty or bodies, so you need to pay attention to the feelings that a certain celebrity can generate in you: if they're positive and don't cause frustration, keep going!
4- Share your feelings with friends
Are you chatting with friends and family? If you feel discouraged, discouraged, or lack focus, one of the best ways to make it all go away (or lessen) is to let it out. So make that phone or video call with the person you talk to the most and share a little of what you're feeling. Listen to others, too! This will help to overcome, which will be essential for your routine to recover in the best possible way.
5- Don't cover yourself too much
Couldn't train today? All right, tomorrow you train! Couldn't do what needed to be done due to bad news or a feeling of being lost? No problem. One of the great villains of social isolation is the demand for productivity that many have created. Of course, we need to stay healthy, collected, and productive, but that doesn't mean we need to do a thousand things a day, or even that we can't allow ourselves to take a breath. Feeling guilty about what hasn't been done is unhealthy and doesn't help to motivate you to train at home.
